In a slump.

I don't know why, but I've been feeling a bit down and uninspired lately. I'll get back at it eventually.

Well at least the shot's good!

Slumps can be positive though, they allow you to step back and see what you've accomplished or learned. You should do that, you'll probably be inspired just by looking at what you've done in the past, you'll be motivated to keep up that level of work. I'm sure you can get out of it somehow!

Blogger Beta sounds very interesting. Hows it handling, in particular, is the labelling system any good?

That's some good advice. I'll be doing that. I'm not sure I'll be inspired enough by what I've done in the past though, so I think I'll try to toss in some random photography book in the mix. Thanks a lot for the encouragement - I'm sure I'll break out of it eventually. Trying to turn it into a good thing is probably the soundest advice I've heard so far - I'll get right on that :-)

Blogger Beta is pretty good - the labelling system essentially consists of keywords you add to the post, which the system then can produce a list of. You can see it in action to the right - I did some quick experimenting by adding five categories to my posts. I would have liked if you could change the name of an entire category at one time, as you have to go back and edit every post right now.

And imagine the possibilty if they made the keywords technorati friendly... hm... ;-)

The only sucky thing with the beta so far is that they have locked the HTML-editing if you want to use the labelling system and the insta-layout-system. I can't work on that custom template now, and I don't know how many that visit. Granted, the second one is a small problem, but I'm thinking of switching back to the old template system for now as the labels doesn't appeal to me that much right now. What do you think? Is the category system to the right useful on this blog?

I think as a blogger and blog-reader they're very handy, i've seen them used on other externally-hosted sites, and sometimes they can be a lot easier than searching or archive strolling.

If you're someone that's here to look at your photography though, i think they will help. I know myself, i'm not really into portraiture, but love subjects full of colour, so having a wealth of posts based on that theme is dead-handy.

Good thinking. I'll work it into the new template. Thanks for the valuable input Richard!
